Questions to Ask When Considering a B&B

Hanna House wants you and your guests to have the best possible Bed & Breakfast experience. It should be a getaway tailored to your relaxation needs. In order to optimize that getaway, we’ve put together a few must-ask questions that we recommend inquiring about before you book your accommodation.

First, if you’re a smoker, you may want to ask your innkeeper if smoking is permitted at the inn. Usually, B&Bs are 100% non-smoking, unlike hotels.

Second, while hotels have all-hour check-ins, B&Bs are generally family owned and operated. If you’re planning on a check-in later than 8 or 9pm, be sure to ask your innkeeper if special arrangements can be made.

Fourth, Bed & Breakfasts often require a minimum two-night stay. There are exceptions, so be sure to ask!

Fifth, most Bed & Breakfast websites have reviews or quotes from guests. Realize that these are not likely to be objective. However, if guests rave about details of their stay that you value and those testimonials are updated reasonably often, that might be the ideal place for you and your guests.

Doing a bit of online research and speaking to your innkeeper can do wonders to assure that you have the most refreshing vacation experience possible. For experienced, personalized service, contact Hanna House Bed & Breakfast today. We can’t wait to show off New Bern, NC!
